Donatas Paris passed away on December 3, 2009.  Don was born in Naumiestis, Lithuania on November 23, 1938.  He emigrated to the U.S. with his family in April 1950.  When Don was naturalized a US citizen, he changed his last name from “Pusdesris” to “Paris”.  He proudly served his adopted country as an Army recruit.  Don resided in southwest Detroit.  Don spent his retirement years as a big football fan and gardening was his hobby.

He was the son of the late Justinas Pusdesris and brother of the late Linas Pusdesris.  He is survived by his mother, Ona Pusdesris, his sister, Jurate (James) Banks, sister, Audrey (Antonio) Ortiz, his 3 nephews, 7 nieces and their families.

Memorials:

Don will be cremated without a funeral service per his wishes.  His family will dedicate a Mass for his intention at Divine Providence Lithuanian Catholic Church in Southfield, MI on December 13, 2009.  A private family celebration of Don's life will be held at a later date.

A donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Donatas Paris will be greatly appreciated.
