Mr. Johnny White II, son of the late Edward and Mary M. White was born in Sumter, South Carolina, September 8, 1940. He was educated in Sumter County Public Schools, and then moved to New Haven, CT in the early 50’s. Johnny worked at Pratt Whitney for numerous years before joining the Marine Corps. Johnny departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 6h45pm. He was predeceased in death by his parents and five brothers, Harvey Lee Jones, Ulysses Daniels, David, Ezell, and Leon White. He leaves to cherish his memories; Brothers, Edmond (Lucy) White, Mozel (Roberta) White of New Haven, Willis (Sadie) White, and James White of Sumter, South Carolina; Sisters, Flossie York, Earlene Bradley, Ethel L. Leaf of Sumter, South Carolina and Peggy White of New Haven, CT and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Memorials:

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s U. A. M. E Church 150 Dwight St., New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 AM. Interment will be in Mulberry Cemetery in Sumter, South Carolina.
